In a significant milestone for the Dota 2 esports landscape, Xu "fy" Linsen of Azure Ray has become the first professional player in Dota 2 history to surpass register 300 games with a single hero. 

Fy achieved this feat with his signature hero, Rubick, during the PGL Wallachia Season 1 Qualifiers. This accomplishment highlights fy's exceptional skill and dedication to mastering Rubick, a hero known for his versatility and game-changing counter-initiating abilities.

His record-setting achievement was highlighted by renowned Dota 2 statistician, Ben "Noxville" Steenhuisen, who tracks player statistics and trends across the competitive scene.


Fy Becomes First Professional Dota 2 Player to Record Over 300 Games With a Single Dota 2 Hero

Noxville on 12th April 2024, Friday, shared that a few days back during the PGL Esports Wallachia 2024 Qualifiers, fy created history by becoming the first professional Dota 2 player in history to reach 300 games on a single hero - Rubick.

"This represents a total playtime of ~190 hours on the hero," remarked Noxville, while sharing a list of professional players and the number of matches they had played with a single hero.


Fy's performance on Rubick has been outstanding, boasting an impressive 59.67% win rate across his 300 games. A testament to his proficiency and impact in professional matches with the spell-stealing maestro.

The 29-year-old from China has been playing Dota 2 professionally for over a decade and the community has witnessed his mastery over Rubick repeatedly throughout the years.

One of the most memorable moments of fy’s Rubick occurred during The International 5 when Vici Gaming played against Cloud9. He played a crucial role in wiping out Cloud9 with his quick thinking and incredible command over the hero.


Notably, the second closest player to achieving a similar milestone is Clement "Puppey" Ivanov from Team Secret, with 259 games played on Chen.

Followed closely behind are Team Secret’s inactive player Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat and former Team Aster player, Hu "Kaka" Liangzhi, both with significant experience on Rubick also.

Rubick remains a favored hero among professional players due to his ability to steal and utilize opponent's spells, making him a versatile pick in various strategies.
