Boomy will captain the Dota 2 roster of Polaris Esports

“We are excited to finally share with everyone that our roster is now complete with the arrival of our friend and captain, Marvin "Boomy" Rushton,” Polaris Esports said upon announcing its new leader.

Polaris Esports announced its first four members on 7th Sept 2021, and now that Boomy has been added, the team's final lineup is as follows:

  1. John Anthony "Natsumi-" Vargas

  2. Mc Nicholson "Mac" Villanueva

  3. Nikko "Nikko" Bilocura

  4. Marvin "Boomy" Rushton

  5. Bryle "cml" Jacob Alviso

After six months with TNC Predator, Boomy recently parted ways with the organization. This period saw the team finish second in the second season of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) and then finish 7th-8th at the WePlay AniMajor. However, the team did not earn enough DPC points to secure a direct invite to TI10 and also failed to qualify via the qualifiers. After that, the team was placed on inactive status and later disbanded.

In the ongoing BTS Pro Series S8, Boomy has already played five series as Polaris Esports’ stand-in.

“This roster is indeed similar to their previous Adroit squad which came to an abrupt end. We as an organization together with the team felt that this was an unfinished business and believed could've gone further. So here we are under a new name and management but with the same goals,” said CEO of Polaris Esports, Khasim Mirza.

Polaris Esports has a similar roster to Adroit Esports, which disbanded in November 2020. Only Justine Ryan Evangelista "Tino" Grimaldo, who was on the roster then, will not be competing with the team this time. Natsumi- will be the carry. Natsumi- was also a member of Adroit Esports for more than a year before the team was disbanded.

At the time of writing this article, Polaris Esports is currently competing in its sixth series in the BTS Pro Series Season 8.
