Fnatic and T1 to Take Part in the Sapphire OGA Dota Pit Invitational

One Game Agency (OGA), in conjunction with Sapphire Technology, will be hosting a Dota 2 tournament titled 'Sapphire OGA Dota Pit Invitational,' featuring some of The International 10 (TI10) competitors such as T1 and Fnatic. A total of eight international Dota 2 teams, including seven TI participants, will take part in this online event that runs from 6th to 10th September, 2021. The Sapphire OGA Dota Pit Invitational features a total prize pool of $275,000 USD, which will be distributed among all eight teams.

Sapphire OGA Dota Pit Invitational to feature some of the best Dota 2 teams

There are teams from all over the world participating in the Sapphire OGA Dota Pit Invitational. The eight teams are listed below.

1. PSG.LGD (China)

2. T1 (Southeast Asia)

3. Fnatic (Southeast Asia)

4. Team Spirit (Eastern Europe)

5. Tundra Esports (Western Europe)

6. SG esports (South America)

7. Thunder Predator (South America)

8. Team Undying (North America)

A total of 275,000 USD will be distributed among eight teams as follows:

• 1st - $114,500

• 2nd - $59,500

• 3rd - $32,100

• 4th - $22,900

• 5th - $13,800

• 6th - $13,800

• 7th - $9,200

• 8th - $9,200

Format

The event will not be having a group stage and will begin directly with playoffs.

• Double elimination playoffs

• All series will be BO3s, except for the grand finals

• BO5 grand finals

The schedule of the first round of matches is yet to be announced.

In August 2021, OGA Dota Pit hosted an event in China where PSG.LGD defeated Elephant to become champions. Also, among these eight teams, PSG.LGD, T1, Team Spirit, Tundra Esports, SG Esports, and Thunder Predator participated in the recently concluded ESL One Fall 2021: Bootcamp Edition. Tundra Esports defeated PSG.LGD in the grand final, 3-2, to claim the title of ESL One Fall 2021 champions. For Tundra Esports as an organization, this was its first Dota 2 tournament victory.

Since TI is just over a month away, scheduled from 7th-17th Oct, 2021, and many teams are heading to Romania to begin preparations for TI10, this may be the last event featuring TI participants. So, Dota 2 fans can expect a lot of new and bizarre strategies to be displayed during the Sapphire OGA Dota Pit Invitational.
