Quincy Crew's newly appointed captain Adrian "Fata" Trinks discussed his time with the team thus far following their successful debut in Tour 3 of the NA DPC 2021-22.
As Fata explained, he was captaining the team as he usually does, but it was also "a bit of a different dynamic" as he was coaching four players who had already played together in the past.
In addition to Fata joining Quincy Crew, Rodrigo "LESLÃO" Santos and Arif "MSS" Anwar were also added to the team. Both LESLAO and MSS were integral parts of Quincy Crew during the last DPC run but parted ways with the team after TI10.

After being absent from competitive Dota 2 for Tour 2 of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22, Adrian "Fata" Trinks returned to the action ahead of Tour 3 by joining Quincy Crew as its new captain. After taking down 5RATFORCESTAFF 2-0 in the first series of Tour 3, Fata came for the post-match winner's interview, in which he briefly explained his time as the new Quincy Crew captain. As Fata explained, he was captaining as he had done so in the past with other teams. However, since the roster involved four players who had played together for a long time before, it also meant he had to adjust to the team's dynamic.

Fata says that it is a “bit of a different dynamic” coaching Quincy Crew

In addition to Fata joining Quincy Crew, Rodrigo "LESLÃO" Santos and Arif "MSS" Anwar were also added to the team. Both LESLAO and MSS were integral parts of Quincy Crew during the last DPC run but parted ways with the team after The International 10.

Since there are four players from the 2021 Quincy Crew roster together now, Fata listed it as "a bit of a different dynamic" captaining them, but that it was still early days and the dynamic would naturally develop with more experience and practice.

“I think it’s nothing out of the ordinary. I am kinda just doing my usual thing, just the way I believe in captaining a team. I still apply that to this team and obviously, it’s a bit of a different dynamic when these four guys have played with each other and I come in to captain them as a new guy. But I think that’s just a few days of practice and a few days of chilling in Discord to give a way…dynamic solves itself.”

In addition to captaining a new team, Fata faces challenges with playing on North American servers from Europe since Quincy Crew is a team competing in the North American DPC. Fata said he uses some means to adjust to the high ping, which he did not disclose, which allows him to play Europe pubs from Germany at 100 ping.

“I play Euro pubs but on fake ping. I play on 100 ping on Euro pubs right now to get used to it. That’s what I am kinda doing. I tried playing NA pubs. I think I have a couple of games on them. In half of them, Shadow Amulet was involved, and buybacks were involved,” Fata said.

With their victory in the first series of Tour 3 of the DPC 2021-22, Fata's Quincy Crew will now go up against felt on 22nd June.
