Ex-professional player Zhang "Faith_bian" Ruida made a surprise guest appearance on the English panel of the Berlin Major.
This is the first appearance the player has made at a valve event after the conclusion of The International 2022.

The Berlin Major 2023 has entered its main stages, with teams battling it out for the lion's share of the prize pool and DPC points. The first match of the main stages saw Team Aster taking on Team Liquid, with Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan standing in for Aster. However, the fans were in for a pleasant surprise when ex-professional player Zhang "Faith_bian" Ruida made a guest appearance on the English panel. Faith_bian retired from competitive Dota 2 shortly after PSG.LGD finished 5-6th at The International 2022. Despite his retirement, the pro player has an impressive track record, including winning the Riyadh Masters 2022 and a second-place finish at The International 2021.
