cml Replaces Abeng-: Execration’s New Roster Ready for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023

Execration's track record in recent tournaments has been promising. It clinched the first-place title in the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 1: Division I, secured the runner-up position in the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 2: Division I, and finished third in the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 3: Division I. However, the team faced a setback in its quest to qualify for The International 2023 after getting eliminated by Geek Fam in the lower bracket semi-finals with a closely contested series ending 1-2.

Notably, cml will be stepping into the shoes of Federico "Abeng-" Dicdican Jr. and this change has piqued the curiosity of fans and experts alike. The anticipation now surrounds how the revamped roster will perform and how high Execration can ascend with the inclusion of cml.

In addition to his domestic exploits, cml also represented the Philippines at the 2022 Asian Games for Dota 2. Although the team failed to claim the championship, it managed to secure a modest 9th-12th place finish before bowing out in the group stage.

The Dota 2 community eagerly awaits the commencement of ESL One Kuala Lumpur, scheduled to commence on 11th December. It also boasts a formidable prize pool of $1,000,000 USD. Elite teams from across the globe are diligently preparing to compete for a significant portion of this substantial purse.

  • Open Qualifier #1: November 12th - 13th

  • Open Qualifier #2: November 14th- 15th

  • Closed Qualifier: November 16th - 18th

The Open Qualifiers are set to take place between 12th and 15th November. Meanwhile, the Closed Qualifier will comprise invited teams and victors of the two Open Qualifiers. This is scheduled from 16th November to 18th November.
