The Top 2 of Dreamleague Season 20 will also qualify for the tournament, adding two more teams to the lineup.

Evil Geniuses (EG) and Shopify Rebellion, two prominent teams in their respective Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) regions, have qualified for the highly anticipated Riyadh Masters 2023 through average placement rankings. The tournament features a staggering $15,000,000 USD prize pool, and attracts top-tier teams from around the world, including Gaimin Gladiators, Tundra Esports, PSG.LGD, and now EG and Shopify Rebellion. While EG is currently competing in Dreamleague Season 20 Group Stage 2 to try and qualify for the playoffs, Shopify Rebellion was eliminated in Group Stage 1 of the tournament.

Evil Geniuses' Journey: Overcoming Challenges and Pursuing Success

Evil Geniuses, one of the best teams in South America (SA), has once again proven its status as one of the best in the region by securing qualification for the Riyadh Masters 2023.

EG Qualified

Currently competing in the Dreamleague Season 20 Group Stage 2, EG faces a crucial series on 22nd June against Gaimin Gladiators. In order to secure a slot in the Dreamleague Season 20 Playoffs, EG must win the series and force tiebreakers for the remaining two slots.

Shopify Rebellion's Stand-In Challenge in Dreamleague Season 20

Shopify Rebellion entered Dreamleague Season 20 with high hopes, although facing a hurdle with Abed “Abed” Yusop, the team’s midlaner, experiencing visa issues. As a result, they enlisted Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi as a stand-in player.

Despite the team’s best efforts, Shopify Rebellion faced disappointment in Group Stage 1 and was eliminated from the tournament. However, the team had a good enough average placement ranking in Dreamleague in order to qualify for the Riyadh Masters 2023.

With Shopify Rebellion and Evil Geniuses qualifying for the Riyadh Masters, there are a total of 5 teams so far that are confirmed to be participating in the tournament. With a gigantic $15,000,000 prize pool, similar to the likes of The International (TI), fans are eagerly waiting to watch the tournament. Moving forward, the Dreamleague Season 20 tournament will feature two more potential teams that will qualify for the Riyadh Masters 2023, and only time will tell which teams shall make the cut.
