One of the stalwarts of Southeast Asian Dota 2, Fnatic, has announced that it is temporarily exiting the Dota 2 pro circuit. According to the statement, the decision to exit Dota 2 operations was taken after careful consideration of the sustainability and future of the title for Fnatic.
Fnatic has been present in the Dota 2 Pro Circuit for well over a decade and has been represented in multiple global tournaments including every single iteration of The International Dota 2 Championships since The International 2013 (9 iterations), with its best performance coming at The International 2016 where it secured a Top 4 finish. The organization has also been ever-present in multiple official Dota 2 Majors with its best performance coming in at DreamLeague Season 11: The Stockholm Major in 2019. The organization also won the DOTA Summit 12 in Los Angeles.
The organization is working to find a new home for its existing Dota players and staff and will support each of them as they explore the next steps in their careers.

Fan favorite DJardel "DJ" Mampust expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and support given to him by Fnatic over the course of 8 years. “It’s my pride and joy to be part of one of the best esports organizations in the world. For me, Fnatic will always be an important part of my life and I wish them nothing but good luck for their future endeavors,” he said
Pao Bago, the Team Director of Fnatic, expressed sadness about the end of the organization’s journey in Dota 2. However, he and the players and staff are grateful for the support from Fnatic, especially during challenging times.
