The Eastern Europe (EEU) Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 Tour 2 is reportedly set to begin soon, according to a Telegram post by Russian-language caster Yaroslav Vladimirovich "NS" Kuznetsov. As NS wrote on Telegram, the schedule of the event will allow it to move quickly and last for around a week only. Each DPC region typically takes six weeks to complete Division 1 and Division 2 under the normal schedule.

On 28th Feb, Valve announced that the EEU DPC 2021-22 Tour 2 had been postponed indefinitely amidst Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

In light of Russia’s relentless aggression in Ukraine, Tour 2 of the DPC 2021-22 has been suspended for nearly two months now, but it looks like it is just about time to resume. “There will be a DPC in Eastern Europe, soon. The format will be fast, you need to +- play everything in a week,” NS wrote on Telegram.

The statement from NS comes just a few days before the start of ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 on 12th May. Participation in the Major for the other five regions has almost been determined, but the presence of three EEU teams at the event has been a source of concern.

In case the EEU DPC now resumes, it will be interesting to see how long it actually lasts so that the top three teams can have enough time to finalize logistics and attend the Major in Stockholm, Sweden. Furthermore, it also remains to be seen what priority Division 1 receives over Division 2 since the former, as previously mentioned, is required to send participants to the Major.

Tour 2 in EEU was scheduled to start on 14th March but was suspended on 28th Feb, four days after Russia invaded Ukraine. Among the 69 players expected to compete in both Division 1 and Division 2, 47 are either from Russia or Ukraine.

The EEU teams have also begun to make roster changes as seen on Valve's Majors Registration Page in recent days, which may indicate that something is actually brewing within the region. There have been changes among players on Mind Games, CIS Rejects, and Nemiga Gaming.

In March, some reports had suggested that Valve disclosed the conditions for resuming the DPC in EEU to players and teams but no concrete action was taken.

Regardless of all these reports, Valve has not yet confirmed its intentions to restart the EEU DPC 2021-22 Tour 2 or the participation of the EEU teams at the Major. It is also unknown who will organize the league since Epic Esports Events, the organizer in Tour 1, had given up the rights.
