In a recent development within the Dota 2 competitive scene, Daryl "iceiceice" Koh, a renowned and experienced professional player, has officially announced his departure from the Singapore-based team Bleed Esports. The news was shared by him during a candid moment on one of his recent Twitch streams. While the exact circumstances surrounding his exit from the team remain undisclosed, it is evident that changes to the Bleed Esports Dota 2 roster are on the horizon.

iceiceice leaves Bleed Esports

Iceiceice is one of the earliest Dota 2 professionals and a participant in the inaugural The International (TI) with Scythe Gaming. He has a storied career that spans several notable organizations. Throughout his tenure in the competitive scene, he has contributed to the success of many teams such as Team DK, EHOME, Mineski, Fnatic, Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, and Team SMG.

iceiceice joined Bleed Esports earlier this year in March 2023 as the offlaner alongside Djardel "DJ" Mampusti. He played four tournaments with Bleed Esports, and the team managed to secure the first position at the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 3: Division I.

iceiceice recently revealed that he is no longer playing under the Bleed Esports banner, adding spice to the Dota 2 offseason. During one of his livestreams, he said, “Bleed? I’m not playing for Bleed anymore. They should be making a new team... I would say it’s kind of weird. So you’ll see some changes here and there, I guess.

This development of iceiceice leaving Bleed comes hard on the heels of the team’s recent form and performance. Bleed faced disappointment by failing to secure qualification for The International 2023, placing 5th-6th in the qualifiers and being eliminated by Geek Fam.

The departure of a player of iceiceice's caliber is sure to have an impact on Bleed Esports, and fans and the esports community will be eagerly awaiting the organization's official statement regarding the future direction of the Dota 2 team. Roster changes and the recruitment of new talent may be on the horizon for Bleed Esports as it aims to regain its competitive footing.
