Dota 2 patch 7.30 may have had additional content and updates that were not included in the release version. According to u/TheZett on Reddit, the update included seven new neutral items, two new abilities, and changes to the Dagon item that Valve did not include in patch 7.30. Despite the fact that these changes were not reflected in the game, players can still test them out in the Demo mode at the time of writing this article. On 18th Aug 2021, Dota 2 patch 7.30 was released, introducing eight new neutral items and removing seven previous ones, among other changes to hero abilities and items.

New neutral items, spells, and a Dagon buff were unreleased in Dota 2 patch 7.30

The data miner from Reddit found these changes in Dota 2 files, but Valve didn't release them with patch 7.30.

Neutral items

Though these items cannot be used in official games, they are still functional in demo mode. This can be done by typing "-item into the chat followed by the item's internal name."

Here are the eight items along with a brief description of what they do.

Assassin’s Dagger: Passively grants attack speed and deals 30 magic damage to a target on attacking.

Internal name: item_assassins_dagger

Assassin’s Contract: Causes you to lose 5 strength but you can steal gold from enemies.

There will still be no stats displayed when these items are spawned in the demo mode.

Spells and Items

Dazzle’s Aghanim’s Scepter - Rain of Vermin

The Dazzle's Aghanim's Scepter was reworked according to the data files and renamed Rain of Vermin. The Scepter provided the hero with a new ground-targeting spell. Over the course of seven seconds, the spell would damage the enemies in that area and also hex them in intervals.

Treant Lifebomb explode

As per the data miner, this ability was either intended for the Mud Golems neutral creeps or the Treants of Nature’s Prophet. The ability causes the unit to inflate massively before exploding and dealing damage around it.

The Mud Golem increases in size before exploding

Dagon Buff

According to the data files, Dagon was supposed to get a buff. In addition to the original Magic Burst, the Dagon would also deal damage based on a value of Intelligence Multiplier at all levels from 1 to 5. Currently, Dagon grants you bonus Intelligence, but it does not deal damage based on your Intelligence.

The decision by Valve not to release certain changes is not new, as previous Dota 2 files have revealed that certain Neutral items were unreleased in the game. One of these unreleased neutral items from a previous patch included the Gloves of Travel, which passively reduced the cooldown of TP scrolls and prevented them from being consumed.
