A data miner on Reddit, u/Chuchelllo, has come across evidence of a new game mode.
According to him, the game event is comparable to Aghanim's Labyrinth in that it appears to be a Player vs Environment mode (PvE).
Additionally, hints that suggest that Valve is working on a new Battle Pass for Fall 2021, were also discovered in the game files.

Valve often changes the game files well before it aims to release a new game mode or hero persona which allows the data miners time to discover and examine the files. A data miner on Reddit, u/Chuchelllo, has now come across evidence of a new game mode. According to him, the game event is comparable to Aghanim's Labyrinth in that it appears to be a Player vs Environment mode (PvE). The game files mention some modified hero abilities as well as some "bosses” related to this event. Additionally, the data miner found hints that suggest that Valve is working on a new Battle Pass for Fall 2021.

Dota 2 might witness a new game event and a Battle Pass in Fall 2021

The game files show that many heroes have ability modifiers and that "AghsFort" is added to their names. Some examples are Ursa with Crit attached to Overpower, Tusk with his Tag Team being a toggle ability, and Earthshaker with the Skewer skill.

Dota 2 game files' changes

One can also notice an additional alphabet "E" at the end of some hero abilities which might be a form of a spell upgrade, the data miner speculates.

The files also mention three bosses; namely BossEarthshaker, ArcWardenBoss, and TreantMiniboss. This looks like a similar concept to what Aghanim's Labyrinth had, where players had to defeat the scaling Dota 2 hero bosses one by one to win the event.

A new item named Naginata also finds a mention in the game files.

Following the Diretide and Spring events, there is a reference in the game files to Fall 2021, which further indicates that a game event is imminent.

This game event will likely be the last one of the year

The game files mention "DOTAPurchaseBattlePassFall2021". Valve usually releases Battle Pass level bundles containing a particular set of levels at a discounted price some weeks after the Battle Pass gets initially released. So, there is a mention of “DOTAPurchaseFall2021LevelBundle” which adds some substance to the speculation.

The second Battle Pass of the year appears to be in the working

Since The International 10 (TI10) is coming up from 7th to 17th Oct, 2021, and a new Compendium was released recently, it is unlikely that anything about a possible new game event or a Battle Pass will be released in the near future. It is important to note that Valve had informed previously that a second Battle Pass for the year would be available after TI10. Perhaps this information in the game's files leads up to this second Battle Pass.
