During this competitive offseason, the Dota 2 Champions League 2021 is all set to provide fans with some action. This tournament will run from 19th July - 8th Aug 2021, and some of the best tier two teams in Europe and the CIS such as Hellbear Smashers and AS Monaco Gambit will be participating. There are 10 teams in total, but nine of them were invited and one qualified through an open qualifier. A total of $50,000 USD will be on the line, which will be split between the 10 teams. Half of the total prize pool, which totals $25,000 USD, will go to the winner.

The Dota 2 Champions League 2021 is being held by Epic Esports Events in collaboration with the Russian Esports Federation. This event will have a total of five seasons. The total prize pool for all seasons will be $250,000.
Epic Esports Events held a tournament similar to this in April 2021. The competition took place over a week and 20 teams competed, but Team Spirit won the grand final after defeating Vikin.gg 2-0.
