During a recent Twitch Stream, Dota 2 caster Austin "Cap" Walsh joked about the release date of the Frostivus Event.
The last Frostivus event featured a collection of rewards for players to claim.
As a result, anticipation builds for the upcoming Frostivus event and the rewards it's going to bring forth.

Popular Dota 2 caster Austin "Cap" Walsh dropped a potential bombshell during a recent Twitch stream and joked about the imminent release of the highly awaited Frostivus event. The caster joked that Frostivus 2023 would go live on 6th December.

While Valve had officially confirmed the return of Frostivus and the Patch 7.34e update in a blog post on 21st November, Cap's revelation has sparked excitement within the Dota 2 community.

Is Frostivus Event Releasing on 6th December?

Firstly, on 21st November, Valve teased, "What's that sound in the festive distance? No, that jingling of sleigh bells you hear isn't early onset tinnitus. It's the magical year-end event we call Frostivus — looming large on the December calendar.

Valve's blog post on 21st November not only confirmed the event's return but also assured the community about ongoing developments, including Arcanas and the Frostivus event itself.

Responding to inquiries about the Frostivus 2023 event from his chatroom during the livestream, Cap casually mentioned, "It’s tomorrow. Yeah, December 6th is what they told me." The revelation, despite being an apparent joke, has left fans buzzing with anticipation.

Caution is advised, however, as this news should be taken with a pinch of salt. Valve is notorious for keeping its cards close to the chest, often surprising the gaming community with major updates out of the blue.

Cap about Frostivus 2023

Renowned for his deadpan humor, Cap is known for injecting sarcasm into his commentary. It is crucial to consider the possibility that his recent statement regarding the Frostivus event releasing on December 6th may be a jest rather than a genuine piece of insider information.

Recognizing the potential for misinterpretation, Cap took to Reddit to dispel any misconceptions, explicitly stating that he says "it's tomorrow" to any requests for insights on Dota 2 updates.

Frostivus, now in its sixth iteration since its inception in 2012, holds a special place in the hearts of Dota 2 enthusiasts. While the specifics of the event remain shrouded in mystery, the Dota 2 community eagerly awaits the surprises Valve has in store. During the 2019 Frostivus event, participants were rewarded with treasures containing announcer packs, couriers, hero sets, and more upon completion.

As the excitement builds for the release of the Frostivus event, players are bracing themselves for the surprises that Valve may unveil during this festive season. The Dota 2 community remains on the edge of its seat, eagerly awaiting official confirmation and more details regarding the much-anticipated Frostivus 2023 event.
