Dota 2 analyst TeaGuvnor is hosting a Crownfall waiting room stream on Twitch, scheduled for April 17th at 13:00 BST.
The Dota 2 community speculates that the Crownfall update might be released on April 17th, on the symbolism of World Circus Day, potentially tying into the theme of the new hero, The Ringmaster.

The Dota 2 community has been eagerly waiting for the release of the much-anticipated Crownfall update ever since it was first announced in February.

Although Valve had earlier pointed out the update would be released in mid-April, details about the pending update have remained scant.

However, on 16th April, Dota 2 analyst Robson "TeaGuvnor" Merritt announced that he would be hosting a Crownfall waiting room stream on Twitch. This, coupled with other interesting facts comes with a huge indication of the Crownfall update releasing any time now.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) TeaGuvnor announced that he was going to farm mangoes in a custom game.

TeaGuvnor’s Crownfall Update Waiting Room Hints The Update Might be Released on 17th April

In a much anticipated moment, the Dota 2 community is eagerly waiting for the upcoming Crownfall Update and speculation is rife that the Crownfall update will be dropped today on 17th April.

Adding further reason behind the rumored release date, Dota 2 analyst TeaGuvnor announced that he would be hosting a Crownfall waiting room Twitch stream on 17th April at 13:00 BST (13:00 WEST / 15:00 EEST / 20:00 SGT) and while waiting for the patch to drop he will be farming mangoes in a custom-built Dota 2-themed Stardew Valley game.

Crownfall waiting room starts 17th April 13:00 BST farming mangos for icefrog until crownfall is released (inside a custom built dota themed Stardew Valley farm),” tweeted TeaGuvnor.

Known to be an integral part of the Dota 2 esports landscape, many believe that TeaGuvnor might have insider information about the release date of Crownfall.

We've included a countdown for the stream:

Another major reason that today’s date is speculated to be the release date is the fact that today, 17th April is World Circus Day and as it is common knowledge in the Dota 2 community by now that the new anticipated hero, The Ringmaster is a Circus themed hero, so his release on World Circus Day adds further symbolism to his character.

The new Crownfall update is expected to bring about a much-needed breath of fresh air to Dota 2, coupled with rumors of a potential PvE-styled Arcade game and new arcanas for Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage.

If TeaGuvnor is really onto something then the Crownfall update should be released by today or Thursday morning.
