When playing a game of Dota 2, trash talking and flaming others is quite normal across all medal tiers, but it becomes more pronounced in the higher-tier games when professional players resort to it during livestreaming and other broadcasts. In a similar incident recently, former OG player Sébastien "Ceb" Debs slammed Virtus.pro’s safelaner Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev when he unpaused a ranked game while Ceb’s teammate was disconnected. This led Ceb, who has won The International (TI) twice in the past, to remark that if RAMZES666 cannot win TI, he can at least win 30 matchmaking rating (MMR) by unpausing and forcing a 5v4 game.
Ceb takes a dig at RAMZES666 for being unwilling to wait for his disconnected ally during a ranked game
During Ceb's Twitch livestream on 27th June, he played Centaur Warruner in a high ranking game that also involved other popular players such as RAMZES666, Max "qojqva" Bröcker, and Aleksandr "Immersion" Khmelevskoi.
Around 15 minutes into the game, Ceb's team's safelaner, Chaos Knight, was disconnected, causing the game to be paused. However, RAMZES666 unpaused the game before Chaos Knight returned, prompting Ceb to comment "relax?" in the all-chat.
RAMZES666 instantly answered, stating "I can't sorry," to which Ceb replied that he believed RAMZES666 had become a reformed player, but it was the "same old shit:)." In reaction to Ceb's statement, the Virtus.pro carry went on to argue that people don't change.
Ceb chuckled at the scenario on the broadcast after taking a crack at RAMZES666 for failing to win TI throughout his career. “Gree man, 4ever loser. “At least if can’t win TI, can win 30 MMR mb (maybe). 5v4,” Ceb said.
“I mean, he is f***king BM (bad mannered) from unpausing. He deserves it. It’s only fair,” Ceb stated to his Twitch chat which appeared to be equally amused by the livestreamer's comments.
Before the game could progress much without Chaos Knight’s presence, he returned soon enough, causing Ceb to take another swipe at RAMZES666. “Mb no 30 actually,” he said in the all chat.
In the end, it was RAMZES666's squad that won the game, and he was able to win the 30 MMR.
It's worth noting that Ceb and RAMZES666 are both infamous for indulging in banter with other players and even trash talking during ranked games and on social media. Both athletes have previously been called out and discussed for their behavior.
While Ceb is no longer actively participating in professional Dota 2, RAMZES666 is competing as a safelaner for the Virtus.pro roster in the Eastern Europe (EEU) Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 Tour 3: Division 1.
