BOOM Esports has officially bid farewell to its Dota 2 roster. The announcement was initially made during a live podcast titled "BOOM Talk Vol 09: Dota 2? MAK LO DISBAND," broadcasted on Twitter on 3rd November. During the podcast, the team cited the challenging nature of the recent patch, expressing its inability to replicate its success in practice matches on the grand stage. It was revealed that the organization was now focused on rebuilding its Dota 2 team.

On 7th November, BOOM Esports Founder Gary “Natshuba” Ongko Putera confirmed that the organization currently had no members signed to its roster, signaling a complete overhaul.

Taking to Twitter on 9th November, BOOM Esports officially bid farewell to its star carry, John "Natsumi-" Vargas, with a heartfelt caption expressing gratitude for his contributions during the past season. Simultaneously, Geek Fam made an intriguing announcement, revealing a new roster that included Natsumi as its carry.

The day also witnessed the official departure of Ye "BoBoKa" Zhibiao and Chung "Ws" Wei Shen from BOOM Esports, as the organization extended its thanks for their contributions during The International 2023 qualifier. Notably, BoBoKa, who had joined BOOM Esports on loan from Team Aster, disclosed on 2nd November that he was no longer under contract with any team on Chinese social media Weibo.

Today, on 10th November, BOOM Esports concluded this chapter by bidding farewell to its remaining two members, Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer and Yap "xNova" Jian Wei. In a poignant Twitter post bidding adieu to xNova, the organization expressed gratitude for his dedication and hard work, emphasizing the enduring bond. A separate post, bidding farewell to Yopaj acknowledged his pivotal role in helping the team reach The International over the past two years.

Notably, ESL One Kuala Lumpur Open Qualifiers is set to kick off in two days on 12th November and the team has only one player signed to its Dota 2 roster.
