The roster shuffle season in the Southeast Asian (SEA) region continues to entertain as BOOM Esports has finally announced its roster for the 2022/2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season. The Indonesian organization recently parted ways with three of its players following a great competitive season. However, it also announced that three new players will be joining the roster for the upcoming season.

BOOM Esports decided to rebuild around the duo of Erin "Yopaj" Ferrer & Saieful "Fbz" Ilham, as the players have renewed their contracts with the organization along with coach Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung.

BOOM Esports adds Xepher, Xnova & Natsumi to its roster

BOOM Esports started its roster announcement day by announcing that Erin "Yopaj" Ferrer, Saieful "Fbz" Ilham & team coach Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung have renewed their contracts with the organization for the upcoming season.

The Indonesian organization then proceeded to announce its newest batch of players, starting with country native and former T1 support Kenny "Xepher" Deo. An hour later, it announced former Polaris Esports carry John "Natsumi" Vargas as its second signing. Finally, the organization announced that former RNG support Yap "xNova" Jian Wei will be completing the lineup.

BOOM Esports’ roster for the 2022/2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season has been confirmed as follows:

  1. John "Natsumi" Vargas

  2. Erin "Yopaj" Ferrer

  3. Saieful "Fbz" Ilham

  4. Kenny "Xepher" Deo

  5. Yap "xNova" Jian Wei

  6. Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung (team coach)

BOOM Esports had a great competitive season, as it managed to win multiple LAN championship titles at GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai & Thailand 2022. While BOOM Esports managed to dominate the regional LAN events, its form in international competitions gradually diminished as the season progressed.

Following a mediocre 9th-12th finish at The International 2022 (TI11), the organization decided to rebuild around the duo of Yopaj & Fbz as the duo renewed their contracts for the upcoming season. On the other hand, the organization  officially parted ways with JaCkky, Tims & skem earlier in the month as the trio wanted to explore other opportunities.

With BOOM Esports having finalized its roster for the upcoming season, the organization will be looking to regain its footing in the region. However, it will  face tough opposition from teams like  Fnatic, Talon Esports & even Blacklist International who recently made its entry into the Dota 2 competitive scene.
