Highlights
Having lost 21 series in a row, B8 has finally won one. The win came against IVY by a score of 2-0 in season 7 of the Dota 2 Champions League.
As a result of this win, B8 prevented itself from becoming the team with the longest losing streak without a win. At the moment, the record is held by Avalon_Club, which registered 22 losses and nine draws in 2016.
This is not the first time B8 has struggled so much. Back in 2020, only a few months after Dendi founded the organization, B8 had lost 18 series in a row.

Dendi "Dendi" Ishutin and his B8 Dota 2 team were having a rough time with one series loss after another, but now they have finally come out of their slump. B8, which went through 21 series losses in a row, finally broke its streak with a 2-0 victory over IVY in the Dota 2 Champions League Season 7. Dota statistician Ben "Noxville" Steenhuisen noted that this victory has prevented B8 from setting an infamous record for the most consecutive losses without a victory. The current record is held by Avalon_Club, which had a string of 22 losses and nine draws.

B8 wins its first series in four months

After securing its first series in four months, B8's Twitter handle expressed its delight.

The last time B8 won was during a Dota 2 Champions League Season 4 series against Khan. Following this matchup, B8 faced off against Creepwave in a series and lost 2-0. This was the beginning of its downward spiral. After getting knocked out of the event, B8 then competed in season 5 of the Dota 2 Champions League, where it lost nine series in a row and was eliminated.

It was then time for Tour 1 of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22: Division 2 where B8's fairly inexperienced roster, aside from Dendi, was put to the real test. However, once again, the squad could not muster the strength to win one series and lost all seven to be eliminated.

After disappointing results in Tour 1, B8 entered season 7 of the Dota 2 Champions League, where it once again lost three straight games by 2-0 margins. In the fourth series of the league, B8 finally defeated IVY 2-0 to end the losing streak which had gripped it since early October 2021.

B8 sits at the second spot on the list of teams with the most losses without a win, narrowly missing out on the top spot which is held by Avalon_Club, which recorded its losses in 2016.

This is not the first time B8 has struggled so much. Back in 2020, just a few months after Dendi founded the organization, the team had lost 18 series in a row. In addition, the team had infamously become the team with the most consecutive game losses. The 26 game losing streak registered then still stands as the worst in competitive Dota 2 as per datdota. Although B8 kept losing series during the current slump, it occasionally won games during the Bo3 series.

Going forward, B8 will be hoping to not make this one series win a temporary affair, but to mount some more victories. As mentioned, B8 has occasionally won games, but it will be looking to push its performance to the next level and win Bo3 affairs. B8's next series in season 7 of Dota 2 Champions League will take place on 3rd Feb 2022 against Mind Games.
