The rumors are officially confirmed as Nigma Galaxy have announced that former OG offlaner Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf will be taking over for Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi in the carry position for the upcoming season. Nigma Galaxy, like many other teams during the off-season, had to undergo roster changes after a disappointing competitive season.

While the team decided to stick around for the upcoming season, Miracle- announced that he would be taking a break from the competitive scene for the upcoming season as he wanted to recuperate from health issues.

ATF becomes Nigma Galaxy’s newest carry

“He's here! Please welcome @AmmarAlassaf6 to our #NGXdota roster🌟” announced the organization on Twitter, welcoming its newest addition to the roster.

Nigma Galaxy’s roster for the 2022/2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season has been confirmed as the following:

  1. Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf

  2. Syed "SumaiL" Hassan

  3. Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov

  4. Maroun "GH" Merhej

  5. Kuro "KuroKy" Takhasomi

  • Daniel "ImmortalFaith" Moza (head coach)

While Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf became a well-known player during his time with Creepwave,  he became one of the best offlaners in Europe under OG as he replaced legendary offlaner Sébastien "Ceb" Debs following the latter’s retirement from the scene.

While the community mostly known ATF for his brash personality, others know him as a young prodigy as he won back-to-back ESL tournaments in Stockholm & Malaysia. Additionally, he also became a Major winner with OG as the organization won its fifth Major with ATF being a crucial part to its success throughout the season.

While the team did qualify for The International 2022 (TI11) with a direct invitation via DPC points, OG only managed to achieve a top eight finish at TI11 as it lost to eventual third place finishers Team Liquid.

Following the competitive season, OG moved ATF into its inactive roster as it allowed the player to explore other opportunities for the upcoming season. Additionally, OG CEO JMR Luna noted that ATF will thrive under teams that are willing to accommodate his playstyle.

Following the announcement, Nigma Galaxy’s roster for the first division of the Western European (WEU) DPC league has been finalized. However, it will face tough opposition from TI11 Champions Tundra Esports as well as Team Secret, Team Liquid and OG to name a few.
