Arteezy, Ceb, dyrachyo, Pure, and other players from the scene point out the sad state of Dota 2 and need for something new.
Heavy speculations suggest that the highly anticipated Crownfall Update may be released in a few days

Ahead of the expected and highly anticipated Crownfall Update, the Dota 2 community seems to be getting impatient and unhappy with the current state of the game. This sourness could be stemming from a lack of any word from the developers at Valve or because Dota 2 just hasn’t received a major game update in a while to give it a breath of fresh air.

Some professionals like Artour "Arteezy" Babaev, Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov, and Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko took to various social media platforms and expressed their dejection about the current state of Dota 2.

On 9th February, Valve finally announced that a major update called the Crownfall Update was in the works and promised a barrage of new content for the Dota 2 community to enjoy.

However, since the aforementioned announcement Valve has been quiet about the proceedings of the update and things have gone silent. Without any major changes to the game, since the New Frontiers Update released last year on 6th April, the Dota 2 community and professionals alike seem to be getting bored with the current state of the game and are now growing impatient for new changes.

OG’s Ceb, who’s known to speak his mind openly, recently appeared on the Dota 2 podcast ‘All Chat’ hosted by Austin 'Cap' Walsh, a popular Dota 2 caster from the United States.

During the podcast, he was critical about the current state of the game and said the game has become very monotonous and lacked creativity.

Similarly, Shopify Rebellion’s Arteezy took to X (formerly Twitter) and tweeted, “Dota mm [Match making] even worse than it was before smurfs lol.

On a similar note, Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, who is currently playing for Tundra Esports on loan from BetBoom Team, seemed annoyed by the lackluster state of Dota 2.

"Idk how can you play pubs in Dota nowadays half of the games are literally unplayable from the start," said Pure, on Twitter, further raising a question against his Dota+ subscription, "For what am I paying money for Dota+ if my dodge list is not even working cause of their shitty immortal draft, banning PRO PLAYERS SMURFS while account buyers are still playing the game)."

In a follow-up Tweet, Pure went on to ask the developers questions about the next patch, "Also there is still no patch, no info about it from developers, nothing at all. Like we all love this game so much but honestly I’m tired of this Valve, please we need some updates and fresh air in game."

These two tweets from Arteezy and Pure highlighted the major problem with the current drafting system in the Immortal bracket.

The current system of the Immortal bracket works by selecting the top two ranked players as the captain of Radiant and Dire respectively, after which the remaining eight players are picked into the Radiant or Dire teams.

Gaimin Gladiators’ dyrachyo also expressed his dismay due to the delayed Crownfall Update and said, “waiting for the patch, I'm sick of it,” while giving a timely update to his fans and followers on Telegram.

Since The International 2023, Valve promised the release of a new hero, data miners revealed the possibility of new arcanas for Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit, and the possible inclusion of a new arcade-style game inside the Dota 2 game client.

With such promising information, the Dota 2 community is now getting impatient but remains hopeful as speculations suggest that the Crownfall update may be released on 21st March, Thursday.
