Aurora's Armel engages in an exclusive interview with the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai tournament organizers where he talks on a barrage of topics
Interestingly, Armel says he finds Quinn of Gaimin Gladiators the most difficult to play against in the mid lane.

During an interview at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai on 6th February, Aurora’s Armel "Armel" Tabios answered a few questions asked by the tournament organizers. The questions ranged from his thoughts on the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai, Valve’s crackdown on smurfing, and also which mid-laner Armel finds the most difficult to play against. The interview was showcased during the Aurora vs LGD Gaming series on 6th February. LGD Gaming eventually emerged victorious and as of 8th February, Aurora is knocked out of the tournament after a series draw against Team Liquid.

Here's what Armel said about the most difficult opponent he has faced in the mid lane and what expectations Aurora had going into BetBoom Dacha 2024.

Armel Takes the Hot Seat

On 6th February, Aurora’s Armel sat down in an interview with the BetBoom Dacha event organizers and answered a slew of different questions. On the topic of his and his team’s expectations from the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai, Armel revealed that there were no special expectations from the tournament. He said that his team, Aurora, was all about progress.

He said, "We probably don’t have a lot of expectations from this tournament in terms of results. I think we just want to play our best game. We are determined to make progress, because there are many good teams here. If we show good performance, great; if not, we’ll gain experience."

Armel also revealed that he did not follow the last iteration of BetBoom Dacha in 2023 but disclosed he was a big fan of Team Spirit.

Armel Names the Hardest Mid-Lane Opponent He Faced

Armel revealed the mid-laner he found the hardest to play against and it was none other than Gaimin Gladiator’s Quinn "Quinn" Callahan. He said, "Maybe Quinn. I think he's probably the best mid-player right now. I've watched a lot of replays of his games and he's pretty good."

Notably, BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai will feature a solo mid-tournament for a prize pool of $100,000 USD and 38 players are taking part in it.

Taking a whole other turn on the topics once again, Armel talked about Valve's crackdown on smurfing. He said he felt that the bans on smurfing were very fair. He remarked, “I think it is a very right decision. It was a bit unfair on other players who are not smurfing.

Although Aurora's exit is already decided, it will still play a final game against Team Falcons on 8th February.
