OB.Neon looks all set to compete in the TI10 SEA qualifier with its reshaped all-Filpino Dota 2 roster. The organization announced via its social media handles that former Vice Esports and South Built Esports player, Michael Roi "Enryu" Ladines, has joined the team as its fifth and final member. Enryu is the replacement for the team’s former position four player, Prieme Ejay "PlayHard" Banquil, who had been removed a couple of days back. Since Enryu will be playing as OB.Neon’s offlaner, captain, Rolen Andrei Gabriel "skem" Ong, who used to be the offlaner, will be making a switch to the position four role.

Enryu joins OB.Neon as the team’s new offlaner

Enryu has been recruited after taking part with the team in the recently concluded Moon Studio Asian Showdown, where he helped the team win the title.

Skem recently took a break from the team to focus on his health, so Raging Potato stepped in as the temporary substitute. However, he did not end up as the team's offlaner. In OB.Neon’s upper bracket and grand final series in the Asian Showdown, Enryu took charge of the offlane duties with skem making a return in the position four role.

Here is what OB.Neon's roster looks like:

  1. John Anthony "Natsumi-" Vargas
  2. Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer
  3. Michael Roi "Enryu" Ladines
  4. Gabriel "skem" Ong
  5. Jaunuel "Jaunuel" Arcilla

Skem had originally been a position four player of this squad but had to switch roles with PlayHard- during the first DPC season because of the latter’s lack of confidence in the offlane.

Enryu will now be looking for success in this role as he joins some of the most talented Dota  2 players in the Philippines. A relatively new player in the competitive scene, he gets his big break with OB.Neon.

While OB.Neon was at its best during the Singapore Major, it has not been as impressive since. With a slightly changed roster, it will look to rediscover that mojo in the TI10 SEA qualifier which is scheduled for June 30 - July 3, 2021. The competition is going to be fierce with teams like Fnatic, TNC Predator, BOOM Esports, Execration, Motivate.Trust Gaming, and Team SMG fighting for just one TI10 spot.
