Evil Geniuses vs Team Nigma: Match Recap and Highlights
Recap
Game 1 saw Evil Geniuses deliver a spectacular performance as it chose the right fights and showcased top-quality spellcasting. Team Nigma, though did fairly well in the early stages, looked to be too keen on engaging but that seemingly backfired. Lack of burst damage also appeared to cost them as they lost the first game in 30 minutes.
Game 2 was another solid performance from Evil Geniuses. Once again, Abdel shone on his mid Puck, and the rest of the team was also impressed with their decision-making and spellcasting. Team Nigma could never match the level of its enemies, losing the game in 36 minutes.
Highlights
Here are some highlights of the series.
Though Evil Geniuses had been doing well in the tournament, they were ruthless today as they completely dominated Team Nigma. Even though drafts looked relatively even, Evil Geniuses’ in-game execution was much better than Nigma's. If they continue to perform like this, Arteezy could well break his ‘No Major curse’ and go on to become the AniMajor champions.
Evil Geniuses plays in the next round of the lower bracket later today, where they will face the winner of Vici Gaming vs Quincy Crew.
