About The Apprentice: ONE Championship

Earlier this year, MGM and ONE Championship launched The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition, involving 16 contestants. The show, which is presented by Chatri Sityodtong, Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, will award the winner with a US$250,000 job offer to work directly under the mentorship of the CEO for a year. The basic objective of all The Apprentice versions is to gauge the business aptitude of the contestants via various tasks.

The original version of The Apprentice was created by British television producer Mark Burnett, with former United States President Donald Trump hosting it for the first 14 seasons.

This is not the first time that Dota 2 personalities have been involved in a game show. Chinese television aired a unique reality show about Dota 2 called Road to Star in early 2014. The reality competition pitted teams of lesser-known but high MMR players against each other in various challenges which tested their abilities to work in a Dota 2 team. These teams were coached by popular Chinese Dota 2 personalities like LGD Gaming’s CEO, Ruru, and retired DotA player, DC.
