Evil Geniuses is the first team to make it to TI10

After their fifth consecutive series win in the NA 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division, Evil Geniuses guaranteed itself a top-three finish and 200 DPC points. This meant that Fly and his teammates crossed the 1051 DPC points limit required to qualify for TI10 by accumulating 1150 points in total, as pointed by Dota 2 statistician, Noxville.

Evil Geniuses had a spectacular 2021 DPC Season 1 as they topped the NA region to get hold of 500 DPC points. Then, they outclassed the best teams in the world at the Singapore Major to finish as the runner-ups, earning 450 points. The team has been in sublime form in the ongoing season 2 as well as they have not dropped a single series so far, winning all five of them 2-0.

Evil Geniuses still has the capacity to pocket more DPC points by finishing on top of the points table in the current season and then replicating their current gameplay to finish top eight at the next Major. The team’s sixth series is scheduled on May 17, 2021, against arch-rivals Quincy Crew. It will be intriguing to witness how this matchup transpires as Quincy Crew has been one out of the only two teams who have beaten Evil Geniuses in a BO3 series in the 2021 DPC season.

  2. Abed “Abed” Azel L. Yusop (4th TI)
  3. Daryl Koh "iceiceice" Pei Xiang (9th TI)
  4. Andreas Franck "Cr1t-" Nielsen (5th TI)
  5. Tal "Fly" Aizik (8th TI)

Unless there are some unprecedented circumstances or roster changes and Evil Geniuses lose out on some portion of their DPC points, this iteration of the team is certainly traveling to Stockholm, Sweden for TI10 in August 2021.
