Ana has ended his competitive break and returned to OG to finalize the team’s Dota 2 roster ahead of the EU 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division. OG announced the addition of Anathan "ana" Pham through their social media handles. The Australian carry player has made a comeback to the Dota 2 competitive scene after nearly 15 months as he had been sitting on OG’s inactive roster since January 2020. Commenting on Ana's return, Offlaner Ceb stated:
“Ana is a beast, we all know that. We love playing with him, and we love having him around again. We are really going to try to enjoy this time together and cherish this experience. At the end of the day it is all about playing high level Dota, with great people and enjoying how great it feels.
Ana, welcome back! ”
N0tail also expressed his happiness in welcoming back Ana.
“So what can I say… Playing with ana has always been special for me.
It brings back so many memories… So many lanes won… So many big fights… So many fun moments… It’s great to have him back and I look forward to seeing what we can do together :)”
With a disappointing series of performances in recent times and the inability to qualify for the ONE Esports Singapore Major, the two-time TI champions will now be looking forward to turning the tide and delivering a strong performance that lives up to their potential at the regional league.
This is not the first time that ana has returned to OG’s active lineup when the team is struggling to perform to its full calibre. In March 2019 as well, the carry player had returned to the team after a series of unsatisfactory results and had then helped OG lift the Aegis of the Champions for the second time in August 2019.
