T1 Kuku gets replaced by Forev at the Singapore Major due to health issues.

T1 announced their Dota 2 squad for the tournament with Forev as a stand-in offlaner through a tweet.

Kuku had only joined the team at the start of this DPC season. The team had gone on to finish in the third spot in the SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division after losing the tiebreakers to Neon Esports. After the event’s conclusion, the team had made a surprising move by parting ways with carry, JaCkky, to make way for 12K MMR player, 23savage.

With 23savage and Forev stepping into the roster in place of Jackky and Kuku, T1’s roster undergoes quite a bit of change from the iteration that played in the qualifiers. However, this is not the first time Forev will play for the South Korean organization as he has previously played for the team for nearly one year, from 2019-20.

While no team is happy to make a last-minute roster change, Forev, who possesses a ton of Dota 2 experience, can be considered a capable replacement to Kuku, considering what he brings to the table.

The team will be playing matches against AS Monaco Gambit, Vici Gaming and Team Liquid on the first day of the event's wild card, March 27, beginning at 10:00 AM SGT.
