Gorgc Makes It Through the Open Qualifiers of EU 2021 DPC Season 2

Popular Dota 2 streamer, Gorgc, who recently put together a team for the EU 2021 DPC Season 2, has made it through the league’s open qualifiers. Named “Team Bald Reborn,” the team had a flawless run in the first round of open qualifiers as they did not drop even a single match. Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski and teammates now find themselves in the closed qualifier, competing against seven other teams from the open qualifiers. However, out of these eight, only the top two teams will make it to the Lower Division of EU DPC Season 2.

Gorgc’s “Team Bald Reborn” wins EU 2021 DPC Season 2: Open Qualifier #1

Several Gorgc fans were excited to witness if he could get through the open qualifiers in the second season of the DPC after his previous stack had failed to do in the first one. Named “Team Bald,” EU team No Bounty Hunter knocked out the stack in the open qualifier’s quarterfinals - 2 of the first season in the DPC.

However, this time, a renovated squad of “Team Bald Reborn” won all their games in the open qualifier #1 defeating SFD-Gaming 1-0 in the round of 32, team Mjolnir 2-0 in the round of 16 and finally team Goldbaer 2-0 in the quarterfinals to qualify for the closed qualifier.

While the players have switched roles in a couple of games, this is the team's roster from position 1 to 5.

Along with Gorgc’s team, three more teams have qualified for the closed qualifier from the open qualifier #1 - Into the Breach, Astronauts, and Ghost Frogs. Four more teams for the closed qualifier will be determined on March 15-16, 2021, from the second round of open qualifiers. 

The two teams that qualify for the Lower Division will be replacing Meta4Pro and burjui, who had been eliminated in the previous season. The six teams that are already a part of the Lower Division are:

  1. Vikin.gg
  2. High Coast Esports
  3. Creepwave
  4. No Bounty Hunter
  5. Spider Pigzs
  6. Hippomanics

The closed qualifier is scheduled to last from March 18-21, 2021. Although no official DreamLeague stream is expected for the closed qualifier, Team Bald Reborn’s matches can be viewed on Gorgc’s Twitch livestream, as he has been streaming the games with a 5-minute delay.
