TNC Predator has signed Filipino players Jun "Bok" Kanehara and Marvin "Boombacs/Boomy" Rushton to finalize an all-Filipino Dota 2 roster. The organization announced this roster change through its social media handles as they stated that they were excited about what strategies and playstyle Bok and Boomy could share with their team. Bok and Boomy, who played for Omega Esports before this roster change, will now be occupying the offlane and the position five role for TNC Predator. They replace TNC’s former offlaner, kpii, and support, Febby, who were released from the squad on March 3, 2021, after the team had a disappointing result in the SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division.

TNC Predator add Omega Esports’ players, Boomy and Bok

Ever since Febby and kpii’s departure became public, Dota 2 fans had been speculating about the possibility of TNC replacing them with two Filipino players to make an all-Filipino roster. Now that it is public, the organization intends on claiming their “rightful spot in SEA competitive scene.”

Bok and Boomy, the two latest additions to TNC’s roster, are longtime friends who have played a lot of Dota 2 together. Beginning in late 2014, both the players have competed for teams like Arcanys Gaming, Execration, MSI-EvoGT, Adroit Esports, and most recently, Omega Esports.

With Omega Esports, the two players had a spectacular showing in the SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Lower Division as they finished second and qualified for the Upper Division in Season 2. However, they will now compete against Omega in Season 2 as they now represent TNC Predator.

TNC Predator’s new roster:

  1. Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte
  2. Armel Paul "Armel" Tabios
  3. Jun "Bok" Kanehara
  4. Timothy John "Tims" Randrup
  5. Marvin "Boomy" Rushton

The organization has not revealed the new captain of the team as well as the recruitment of a new coach as of now. Kpii and Febby’s removal also meant that the team has lost 27.75% of the DPC points earned in the first DPC season and now have 72.25 (down from 100).

TNC’s new roster will be back in action in the SEA 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division scheduled to begin on April 13, 2021. With a revamped squad on deck, they will be looking to improve their result from the first season and qualify for the second Major of the 2021 DPC Season.
