  • 23savage has been added to T1's Dota 2 roster.
  • This recruitment had already been somewhat expected by Dota 2 fans after T1's former carry, JaCkky, was surprisingly released from the roster on March 3, 2021, after helping the team qualify for the Singapore Major.
  • A day ago, on March 3, 2021, 23savage had become the first Dota 2 player to reach 12K MMR.

23savage’s quest for a new team is finally over as he has been added to T1’s Dota 2 roster, as communicated by the organization earlier today, on March 4, 2021. The recruitment of Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon, was a somewhat expected move by the organization after their former carry, Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong, was unexpectedly released a day ago, on March 3, 2021, despite helping them qualify for the Singapore Major. Instead of JaCkky, 23savage will now be heading to Singapore with T1 on March 27, 2021.

T1 stated that they were pleased to welcome the Thai carry to their Dota 2 roster and asked their fans to support them at the ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore Major.

Replying to T1’s tweet, the 18-year-old carry player thanked the team for this opportunity and communicated that he would do his best.

Dota 2 fans had already started speculating T1’s new carry a day ago when JaCkky was removed from the roster. Considering 23savage’s recent surge in personal milestones and an ironic search for a new Dota 2 team, most fans believed that JaCkky had been “kicked” to pave the way for the Thai carry.

23savage had been looking for a new Dota 2 team since January 3, 2021, when he was removed from Vici Gaming’s roster after not playing a single match for the Chinese organization in nearly three months. Just before the onset of the 2021 DPC Season 1, the 18-year-old carry was caught in a spot of bother as most teams had locked their Dota 2 rosters.

He then went on to miss almost the entire season but was recruited by BOOM Esports as a stand-in for their last two matches. Although fans had speculated that he would be a permanent addition to BOOM’s roster, he once again announced a search for a new team once the DPC season concluded.

On March 3, 2021, 23savage became the first-ever Dota 2 player to reach the landmark of 12,000 MMR. Later in the day, JaCkky got released from T1, and the next day, the Thai carry found a new home in the form of T1.

T1’s new roster:

  1. Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon
  2. Karl “Karl” Jayme
  3. Carlo “Kuku” Palad
  4. Kenny “Xepher” Deo
  5. Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon

Widely considered one of the best position one players in the SEA region, it will be interesting to see if 23savage can carry T1 at the ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore Major. As for JaCkky, he now has a month to find/build a new Dota 2 team before the rosters get locked for the 2021 DPC Season 2.
