Despite entering the tournament as the favorites, Neon Esports, after a decent performance in the group stage, fell to Omega Esports in the first round of the upper brackets. This was the first time in the three seasons that Neon Esports had to make a lower bracket run to win the tournament.

However, the Filipinos overpowered each of their opponents in the lower bracket as they defeated Team Novus, Execration and Vice Esports to reach the grand finals.

They then faced Omega Esports in a redemption match that was considered to be very competitive. But, showcasing their top form and momentum in 2021, Neon Esports outdid their opponents to win the title.

All the three grand finals’ three games were complete stomps by Neon as they won the laning phases and pushed their advantages early. This allowed no room for Omega to come back as Neon ended all the three games around the 30-minute mark with sizable networth advantages.

Neon had also defeated Omega Esports (previously Smart Omega) in the first season of  PNXBET Invitationals, which took place in September- October 2020.

In the DPC, they play their next series against Vice Esports on February 11.
