KuroKy, as well as Dota 2 fans, are not happy with the timings of the Upper Division of EU-DPC 2021

The Upper Division of the EU Regional League had two intense series yesterday as OG managed to defeat High Coast Esports 2-1 in the first series, and Nigma beat Liquid 2-1.

The timing of the Nigma vs Liquid series was very odd for most fans and players. As captain for Nigma, KuroKy put forward his views on it in a post-match interview. He stated that the schedule was a bit “ridiculous’ and it needed some adjustment going forward.

“Yeah it’s not ideal. Some people get more affected than others. Some of my teammates got really tired. Some tried to nap during the day. Personally, I am fine. I am staying awake anyway. Actually wanted to watch the MMA match, I think I am missing it now but yeah it’s not ideal. It’s a bit weird that we have like only two games a day and it also comes to this point. I feel we should have some adjustment in the future. I don’t know why it is like that, maybe it is the best time for the fans.”

After the analysts present on the post-match show stated that the timings were not ideal for the fans as well. KuroKy added,

“Dota has always had this problem, even on LANs. I mean you guys cast games till 2 am, 3 am. It’s a bit ridiculous. I do think we need to step up there.”

A Reddit thread then emerged on Reddit where fans complained against the Upper Division of the EU Regional League’s unusual timings.

There was a lobby issue that delayed the first series between OG and High Coast Esports yesterday by an hour, aggravating this problem. The Nigma vs Liquid series, as a result, exceeded past midnight for almost every region except the West Coast, which made it extremely tough for the viewers to watch the full BO3 series.
