Arguably the most popular Dota 2 player of all time, Danil "Dendi" Ishutin, has unfortunately tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. He revealed this through his Twitter handle earlier today.

Dendi Diagnosed With COVID-19
Dendi stated that he “dodged” the virus in 2020 but it came back to struck him in 2021. He called the virus a “sneaky bastard” and mentioned that though it felt weird, he was fine.
Several Dota 2 personalities poured in their support after his tweet, wishing him good health and a quick recovery.
The Ukrainian had recently assembled a new roster for the 2021 DPC Season 1. In what came as a surprise to most of his fans, he roped in three former Midas Club Brazilian players into his B8 squad to finalize the squad.
B8’s roster for 2021 DPC season:

- Danil “Dendi” Ishutin
- Diego “Sexyfat” Barini Santamaria
- Enis “5up” Elfki
- Heitor “Duster” Pereira
B8 received a direct invite to the Decider Tournament of the CIS Regional League S1. The three Brazilian players, as a result, will be residing and competing from the CIS region. The squad will be competing in its first series in the tournament later today.

Eight teams are competing in this Decider Tournament. The top four will make it to the Upper Division while the bottom four qualify to the Lower Division.
It will be interesting to see if Dendi’s fortune changes with this revamped roster in 2021 and if they can make it to the Upper Division.
