Filipino star Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer has reached a milestone of playing 1000 professional Dota 2 games under the banner of Neon Esports. The mid lane player joined the organization in September 2019 and, since then, has played a pivotal role in their growth story.
Yopaj’s touched the landmark of his 1000th game under the Neon Esports banner in their series against Invictus Gaming in the ongoing Huya Dota 2 Winter Invitational. The organization shared the delighting news of the time spent with their midlaner through a post on Facebook.
Yopaj officially joined Neon Esports last year in September when he was only 17 years old. Considering the fact that the player had very little professional experience, Neon Esports took a gamble in signing the mid lane player. But the deal seems to have paid off dividends for the organization as they have enjoyed a fruitful partnership with the player for more than a year.
Though Neon Esports has not been able to deliver the best of performances in top tier tournaments persistently, they have been a massive success in lower-tier events, emerging as the champions in six of them since Yopaj joined in September last year. The young gun has earned $29,313 in prize money, most of it with Neon Esports. He also reached 10K MMR in November 2020.
Legend of the scene, Danil "Dendi" Ishutin holds the record for most matches on a single team in the history of Dota 2 with 1513 games on Natus Vincere, where he played from 2010-2018.
