LAN Event: China Dota 2 Pro Cup Season 2 Announced
- ImbaTV announces China Dota 2 Pro Cup S2 with 8 top tier Chinese teams and a prize pool of $89,473 USD

- The tournament is scheduled from November 14-29 and will features teams like PSG.LGD, EHOME, 4AM and Vici Gaming.
ImbaTV is back with some top tier Chinese Dota with the China Dota 2 Pro Cup Season 2. The first season of the tournament was held in late September 2020 marked the first Dota 2 LAN event since the global pandemic halted offline tournaments in April 2020. This second season will also be played in a LAN setting in Shanghai with the top 8 teams in the Chinese Dota 2 circuit.

Chinese LAN Tournaments Are Back!
Ever since the Chinese Mega Roster Shuffle culminated with 4AM’s roster reveal, a number of Chinese tournaments have taken place and more are being announced. China Dota 2 Pro Cup S1 and OGA Dota Pit S3 were held in late September-early October followed by the ongoing CDA-FDC Professional Championship. Moon Studio Mid-Autumn League is also being conducted for the Tier 2 teams of China and SEA. Perfect World has also announced a two-division Asian tournament that begins today.

Now, China Dota 2 Pro Cup S2 is scheduled to begin from November 14 and last for two weeks till November 29. Seven teams have been directly invited to the tournament with one team coming through the qualifiers. The qualifiers will be held on November 11-12 with seven teams.

The tournament boasts of a prize pool of ¥600,000 CNY (≃$89,473 USD). All the eight teams will play in a single round-robin format while the playoffs will follow the usual double-elimination bracket. The playoffs are to be held in an offline setting while the group stages will be played by teams from their boot camps
This tournament will mark the return of Vici Gaming who had opted out of the CDA-FDC Professional Championship, citing player workload and other personal reasons. Their replacement had been the much-hyped 4AM roster. It will be interesting to see whether 23savage will be competing with this lineup.
