Elephant.4AM To Debut At CDA-FDC Professional Championship

After all the speculations and controversies involving the famed 4AM organization finally came to a close, the Chinese organization is set to make its debut next week at the CDA-FDC Professional Championship. An all-superstar team comprising of Eurus, fy, RedPanda, Maybe and Yang is all set to finally make its debut.

4AM To Play At Its First Tournament

4AM organization was under a lot of fire recently for their lack of professionalism regarding the Eurus-Sylar matter.

• Chinese organizations Elephant and 4AM was rumored to pick up a strong team in the form of Maybe, fy, Yang, RedPanda and Eurus.
• Instead of Eurus, Sylar- a veteran of the Chinese Dota 2 scene was announced as the carry of the team on October 1 which shocked everybody. 
• The next day, Sylar was removed and Eurus was added to the roster. This sparked outrage from the community against the 4AM organization for showing unscrupulous behavior with Sylar. Eurus was not initially added because 4AM allegedly denied paying the transfer fee to Eurus’ former team- Vici Gaming. 

The Sylar-Eurus hot potato and the failed transfer of rOtK was a controversial issue for the 4AM organization but eventually, everything subsided after various people from the competitive scene expressed their opinions and facts regarding the matter.

Now, 4AM is set to feature at the CDA-FDC Professional Championship by replacing Vici Gaming who stated their inability to attend the tournament citing personal reasons and player burnouts. 

Vici Gaming also mentioned that 4AM will be replacing them in this tournament. For the Chinese Dota 2 fans, watching these veterans of Dota 2 play together in a team will certainly be a treat. Almost all their players are loved by the global audience as well so their return is expected to mark the beginning of a new era for the Chinese Dota 2 scene.

CDA-FDC Professional Championship Details

As mentioned earlier, Vici Gaming is going to skip this tournament but we have the rest of the best Chinese teams competing in the league. A total of 8 teams will compete in the tournament.

The six teams who have been invited to this tournament are EHOME, Elephant.4AM, Royal Never Give Up, Invictus Gaming, PSG.LGD and Team Aster.

Two teams from open qualifiers will qualify and will be placed in either group. The tournament is going to be held online from October 22 to November 1. The total prize pool of the tourney is  ¥600,000 CNY (≃$89,582 USD)

The usual GSL group stages will be followed by double-elimination playoffs.
