Valve To Sponsor The Biggest Tournament In The History of SA
South America is about to get its biggest Dota 2 tournament yet. Tournament organizer 4D Esports just announced Realms Collide: The Burning Darkness. The tournament will be held with the support of Valve and will feature a $75,000 USD prize pool.
Valve Supports The SA Scene With Realms Collide: The Burning Darkness
South America seems to be the biggest beneficiary of Valve’s pledge to support third-party tournament organizers. After contributing $45,000 to Movistar Liga Pro Gaming to host two Dota 2 tournaments in the region, Valve has decided to sponsor another tournament in the region.
4D Esports’ flagship tournament series Realms Collide’s second season features $75,000 up for grabs and will take place from November 9 to December 6.
Although the amount that Valve contributed to the prize pool was not revealed, the $75,000 prize pool is significantly higher than that of season one of Realms Collide, which offered $10,000 to a total of eight teams.
Teams Competing In This Tournament
It is not yet known how many teams will participate in the tournament, but nine teams have been confirmed to be participating in this tournament by the tournament organizers.
The confirmed participants of this tournament are:
- Darkness
- beastcoast
- Thunder Predator
- Team Unknown
- Havan Liberty
- Infinity Esports
- EgoBoys
- Infamous Gaming
- 4 Zoomers
- Former CR4ZY
4D esports is making the bold claim of being the biggest tournament in the history of SA. On paper it looks like a heck of an event, but will this tournament live up to expectations?
