Former PSG.LGD player, Xu "fy" Linsen went live for the first time on the Chinese streaming website Huya. The player spoke at length about his past failures at TI, detailing the lead up to these events from his perspective. He also spoke about the contracts and his new team 4 Angry Men.
According to Chinese news aggregator Dota Daily Rhythm, In his stream, Fy confirmed that Four Angry Men (4AM) has signed Lu "Somnus ‘ M" Yao (aka Maybe), Zhou "Yang" Haiyang, and himself.
The player also stated that the contracts of ViCi Gaming carry Zhang "Eurus" Chengjun and SAG’s Ru "RedPanda" Zhihao are still being negotiated. He added that players have started taking their contracts more seriously, and don't just sign for three or five years.
For context, Maybe’s contract with PSG.LGD, reportedly signed after TI5, was signed for a period of 4 years.
So 4 Angry Men’s lineup for the upcoming season will likely be:
4AM is one of the biggest esports organizations in China, who announced their entry into the Dota 2 scene in early August 2020. The organization was founded by Wei “GodV” Zhen, who notably played as the midlaner for LGD’s League of Legends (LoL) team from 2014 to 2017 before he shifted to PUBG and started his own organization.
Fy also spoke about his former teammate Jian Wei "xNova" Yap. He stated that the Malaysian player is not very communicative and doesn't know how to express his discomfort very well, so he just sulks sometimes.
He also confirmed that xNova has one year left on his contract with PSG.LGD and should continue to play this year.
According to the player, for TI9, the PSG.LGD players worked harder than they did for TI8 with everyone practicing more and more. He commented that the atmosphere at the Bootcamp was very rigid and that all they did was practice together all day. He said that he couldn't stand it. Finally the coach agreed that they should practice less and watch more replays to improve.
He also commented that they had a 50-50 chance to beat OG in the winner bracket finals. However, they got caught out by OG's surprise Alchemist pick. He also commented that they didn't have luck on their side after they lost a coin toss in the third game of the series, which allowed OG to get first pick.
Fy certainly looks like he hasn't lost his passion for the game and is all fired up to compete with the Four Angry Men lineup.
