ViCi Gaming Parts Ways With Coach rOtK
rOtK has had a long and storied history with the ViCi Gaming organization. After leading the team to its best-ever finish at The International 4, the Chinese player joined VGJ.Thunder as its coach in 2017.
He would then move on to the main ViCi Gaming roster and coached the team to multiple major wins including the Epicenter 2019 Major and DreamLeague Season 11 Major. He also helped the team finish in 5th-6th place at The International 9 in Shanghai, China.
It is unclear where rOtK will move to after his stint with ViCi Gaming.
ViCi Gaming Parts Ways With Offlaner Yang
Yang has been an integral part of the ViCi Gaming machine since 2015. Starting off his career in the Vici Gaming Potential squad, he would later work his way up the ladder through some impressive performances competing in various ViCi Gaming rosters like Vici Gaming Reborn, VGJ.Thunder before becoming a permanent fixture in the main ViCi Gaming roster.
Speaking about his departure, ViCi Gaming stated:
“Today we say goodbye to Yang.
Yang’s contract with VG expires today, September 1 2020. With respect to both the individual wishes of each and every player and after an agreement between both sides, he will be leaving VG, becoming a free agent.
Yang has been an integral part of ViCi Gaming and together we have developed a deep friendship and irreplaceable brotherhood. Yang began in VG.P, popped off in VG.R, reinvented himself in VG.J and then brought that experience and plenty more as a core member of VG.
We have no doubt in our minds that Yang-God will achieve whatever he plans on doing next and wish him to follow his path towards his dream so valiantly.
Thank you Yang for your contributions to ViCi Gaming. No matter what, we got your back!”
Yang is rumored to be a part of the upcoming 4AM Roster featuring the likes of Maybe, fy, and Eurus.
Replacing these departures will be no easy feat for ViCi Gaming. It will be interesting to see how the balance of the Chinese scene shifts following these roster changes.
