Top tier SEA Dota 2 is finally back. The ESL One Thailand 2020: Asia tournament finally kicked off earlier today with TNC Predator taking on Adroit Esports in the first match. In this match, TNC managed to secure a relatively straight-forward 2-0 victory, starting off the tournament in the right foot.

Considering their recent disappointment at the Moon Studio Asian League, TNC will be looking to bounce back in this tournament. Starting off with a win is a step in the right direction for the Filipino team.

TNC Predator vs Adroit Esports

Game 1: TNC Predator won the first game of the series handily. They always looked comfortable with one of their tried and tested strategies featuring Armel’s Doom, Kpii’s Venomancer and Gabbi’s Faceless Void.

Adroit Esports simply failed to make any plays to halt the bleeding and were simply outclassed in the opening match.

Game 2: In the second game, TNC Predator brought out picks like Gabbi’s Arc Warden, Armel’s Kunkka, and of course TIMS’ Mirana to sweep aside their opponents. Despite both Adroit Esports cores getting off to a decent start, they simply couldn’t capitalize or build up a lead. TNC just split the map perfectly and secured the win in the second game handily.

In the post-match interview, TNC Predator’s captain Match stated that they weren’t afraid of any teams and is looking forward to playing against Fnatic.

“We are not afraid of any teams. We lost to Fnatic, so we do want to beat them even though they had the big roster change... When I first looked at the Groups, I thought that our group was harder than the other group. But it is not like there is any team that we cannot win against. I think we can win against all of them.”
