Just weeks after the conclusion of ESL One Birmingham 2020, yet another ESL One tournament has been announced. This time the tournament will exclusively take place for the Asian and Americas region. The ESL One Thailand 2020 Dota 2 tournament features a $200,000 prize pool and is being organized by ESL in association with Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism & Sports and the Sports Authority of Thailand.
Both SEA and Chinese teams will compete in the Asian tournament while South American and North American teams will compete in the Americas tournament.

The tournament will be held entirely online from August 8 to September 6th.

ESL One Thailand 2020 - Asia
Regional Qualifiers: 17th-19th August 2020
- Four teams will compete for two slots in ESL One Thailand 2020.
- Of these four, two teams will be directly invited to the regional qualifiers while one team each can qualify through the Chinese and SEA Open Qualifiers. You can register for the qualifiers through the links below.
- ESL One Thailand 2020 SEA Open Qualifier Registration

Group Stages: 20th - 31st August 2020
- A total of 12 teams will compete in the Group Stages of the Asia tournament.
- Eight teams will be directly invited to it.
- Two top teams from ESL Thailand Championship
- Two teams from the Asian Regional Qualifiers.
- Two Groups of Six teams will compete in a BO3 Round Robin format.
- The top 4 teams from each group will move on to the playoffs
Playoffs: 1st to 6th September 2020
- The playoffs will be a full BO3 double elimination bracket
- The Grand Finals will be a BO5 match.
ESL One Thailand 2020 - Americas will also follow a similar format but with 8 teams and a different schedule.
- Regional Qualifiers: 31st July - 2nd August 2020
- Group Stages: 8th- 24th August 2020
- Playoffs: 25th - 30th August 2020
