It is finally official. Adroit and Neon Esports will be the two Asian teams who will join the rest of the direct invitees at the ESL One Thailand 2020: Asia tournament which kicks off later on 20th August 2020.

Adroit and Neon Esports Qualify For The Tournament

Adroit Esports:

Adroit Esports qualified for the tournament in a peculiar way. The team managed to battle their way through the playoffs and were waiting at the Lower Bracket finals for a match against Team Trust.

However, Chinese team Royal Never Giveup withdrew from the tournament. This forced ESL to give a direct invite to Team Trust (the last remaining Chinese team in the playoffs). So Adroit managed to automatically qualify for the ESL One Thailand 2020 tournament without having to play this match.

Neon Esports:

Neon Esports qualified for the tournament by managing to run through the entire tournament without dropping a single series. They started off in the Open Qualifiers where they had to beat teams like Reality Rift and Team IO to qualify for the Closed Qualifiers.

Following this, Neon Esports faced off against Chinese team in their opening match of the closed qualifiers. They managed to beat them 2-1 and moved to the Winner Bracket Finals where they faced Team Trust and beat them 3-0 to qualify for the main event.
