Aghanims Labyrinth, the new TI10 Summer Event has been winning plaudits for its amazing game play. Many have played the game to death and some have even managed to beat the game in the hardest difficulty. However, a sense of boredom is beginning to set in considering the limited hero pool.
Players can only play 12 heroes in this game mode which is heavily limiting the number of strategies you can use in this game mode.
It looks like Valve is trying to fix this problem before the boredom sets in, too much.
Possible New Heroes for Aghanim’s Labyrinth Found in Steam Database
A reddit user /u/Flam3ss has discovered some files in a Steam Database entry that might indicate that several new heroes might be added to the Aghanim’s Labyrinth. This list titled “ herolist.txt” was found in the ‘Aghanim’ folder in the Steam Database and includes a mammoth 30+ heroes which have been marked with various tags.
Heroes that are tagged to have custom/modified abilities (like Magnus, Witch Doctor in the Aghanim's Labyrinth mode):
Luna
- Modified Lucent Beam
- Modified Eclipse
Monkey King
- Modified Jingu Mastery
Phantom Assassin
- Modified Stifling Dagger
- Modified Phantom Strike
- Modified Blur
- Modified Coup de Grace
Some Heroes were also tagged as "Top candidates". Perhaps these heroes are the most likely to be introduced in the Aghanim's Labyrinth game mode.
- Axe
- Centaur Warrunner
- Legion Commander
- Phantom Assassin
- Pangolier
The addition of these heroes will certainly make things far more interesting.
Some Heroes were tagged as "Tanky"
- Bristleback
- Dragon Knight
- Sven
- Tidehunter
- Tiny
- Treant Protector
Some were tagged as "Fighter"
- Juggernaut
- Kunkka
- Templar Assassin
- Troll Warlord
Heroes tagged as "Archer"
- Clinkz
- Drow Ranger
- Medusa
Others tagged as "Wizard"
- Crystal Maiden
- Dazzle
- Invoker
- Jakiro
- Keeper of the Light
- Leshrac
- Lina
- Necrophos
- Shadow Shaman
- Venomancer
- Zeus
Heroes tagged as "Rogue"
- Bounty Hunter
- Riki
Unfortunately, this does not confirm that Valve intends to add all these heroes to the game. It is very likely that Valve experimented with these heroes prior to introducing this game mode but later made a call to not add them to the game.
