A lot of speculations and reports have been doing the rounds about Ninjas In Pyjamas (NIP) looking to find a new home for its inactive star player - Nicolai "device" Reedtz, who has allegedly initiated talks with several CS:GO teams.
Further information has surfaced claiming that NIP is asking for quite a hefty buyout amount for device - €1,000,000 EUR ($997,490 USD). This is a tough pill for some to digest because the 27-year-old has been absent from the competitive circuit since December 2021.
However, the talented rifler from Turkey, İsmailсan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş, while commenting on this topic has confidently backed the alleged transfer fee amount that NIP is asking for device.
XANTARES is confident that Device will be in top shape upon return
One of the best CS:GO payers in the world, device, has not played a single game so far this season. Yes, he has been grinding hard on FACEIT which means that he is still in touch with the game, but this is not enough to be at the top.
At this point in time, device has been away from the competitive circuit for almost nine months, more than half a year, with no confirmed move or statement that points towards his return.
Amidst all this, multiple reports have surfaced which have created a lot of buzz around device, attracting a lot of offers along with an exorbitant price tag.
One of the players that agrees with this alleged buyout amount is XANTARES. In a comment to Cybersport.Metaratings, he stated that when device returns his form will be just like it was in the good old days.
"First of all, device is a great player who has been playing at a high level for many years and is considered one of the best players in the world. I think he deserves that transfer fee," said XANTARES, "Despite the fact that Nikolai has been absent from the pro scene for a long time, I think that when he returns, his form will be great, like in the good old days."
It remains to be seen if all these reports and speculations stand true or not. Will device be sold to Astralis or will some other team agree to the buyout amount and secure him from NIP?
