FaZe Clan are really taking chilling in CS:GO to another level. The mixed roster who was playing a do-or-die match against G2 Esports in the lower bracket of the currently ongoing BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2021 yesterday, were observed discussing strategy revolving around tic-tac-toe during an eco-round on Inferno. FaZe Clan who had a comfortable lead of six rounds decided to hold back in their spawn during the 23rd round of the game, as Olof "olofmeister" Gustafsson and Helvijs "broky" Saukants engaged in an intense game of Xs and Os. The only player absent from the 'T-Spawn' banter was the team's IGL Finn "karrigan" Andersen, who held an angle just outside 'Bacl Alley'.

Teams are known to hold back in their respective spawns during eco rounds in CS:GO, to discuss strategy for the rounds ahead, collect their thoughts, or simply calm their nerves. However, FaZe Clan who were leading '14-8' against G2 Esports on Inferno during their lower bracket faceoff at BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2021, had some totally different plans for hanging back at the 'T-Spawn'.

The players held back to play some tic-tac-toe as the legendary Swede olofmeister went up against the young Latvian AWPer broky, with rain and Twistzz backing them up with some useful tips and strategies from the back. The only player missing was their IGL karrigan who seemed focus to do some damage to G2's economy.

Well, olofmeister was able to shake up broky with his big brain plays as he disguised his trap by perfectly. First, misleading the young AWPer with an 'O' towards the lower right corner and then unleashing the trap by doing the same on the lower left corner.

Poor broky was humiliated on the livestream in front of all the viewers, refusing to play his move and left the game incomplete as all the players moved out of the 'T-Spawn' returning back to the game.

FaZe went on to win the map '16-12', equalizing the series '1-1'. But ultimately they lost the decider to G2 Esports on Nuke by a score of '16-5', resulting in yet another early elimination from a CS:GO tournament as their slump in performance still continues to haunt them.
