Twista Returns After ESIC Ban With New Team Featuring Allu as IGL
A new Finnish CS:GO team in the making.
Last time a Finnish CS:GO team had taken the world by storm was in early 2019, when ENCE had done the impossible by achieving a runners-up finish at the IEM Katowice Major.
Now, another such Finnish roster is being assembled by one of Finland's most successful coaches, Slaava "Twista" Räsänen, who officially announced his return to the competitive scene on 1st February following ESIC's ban for exploiting the 'Coach Spectator Bug'.
This lineup consists of both young talents and experienced veterans, with Finnish CS:GO legend Aleksi "allu" Jalli acting as the team's IGL (in-game leader). It will also mark his return to the competitive front after almost nine months away from the game.

Twista and Allu join hands to assemble a new Finnish CS:GO team
To bring a new Finnish CS:GO roster in the competitive scene, two old-timers, Twista and allu, have come together along with some other players from the region to assemble the following lineup,
Aleksi “allu ” Jalli - IGL/AWP
Tuomas “ SADDYX ” Louhimaa - Lurker
Lasse “ ZOREE ” Uronen - AWP
Tony “ Arvid ” Niemelä - Rifler
Olli “ oopee ” Piispanen - Entry Fragger
Slaava "Twista" Räsänen - Coach
Mikko "xartE" Välimaa - Assistant Coach
The news about the lineup was initially broken by Pelaajat, who also obtained additional information about the lineup via an interview with Twista.
According to the 34-year-old experienced CS:GO coach, the team has been assembled with an aim to put a Finnish roster at the top of the world once again. Keeping this in mind, they do not intend to achieve success right away, instead opting for the longer route of identifying problems and overcoming them.
The first step is to create our own working system for three months before setting our eyes on the top twenty.Slaava "Twista" Räsänen - Interview with Pelaajat
Talking about the roles of each player, Twista emphasized that there are no exact player-defined roles in CS:GO anymore and that each player can play the any position he wants to, depending on the situation.
In principle, however, Olli (oopee) will act as an entry fragger, Tony (Arvid) and allu will be calling the shots, Tuomas (SADDYX) and Lasse (ZOREE) will be on the wings.Slaava "Twista" Räsänen - Interview with Pelaajat
He further explained that having two marksmen gives his team an edge. They can effectively use both allu and ZOREE to AWP when playing CT-sided and if the team is feeling really confident on the T-side as well. Also, if one of them is having an off day, the other can easily pick the sniper and the roles can be swapped.
Twista also revealed that they are currently discussing offers with various interested parties and are still open to other offers, as they continue to practice and participate in various CS:GO tournaments.
We want to think carefully about who we are going to work with to drive the project forward, making sure that the goals are aligned. Until then, of course, we will participate in the Major qualifiers and various other tournaments according to invitations and qualifiers. Information about those will certainly come when the time is right.Slaava "Twista" Räsänen - Interview with Pelaajat
