Stewie2K recently spoke about the worst thing about CS:GO that he thinks Valve should remove from the game.
He also spoke about his goals for 2022 and said that "I'm just looking for a fresh start and trying to recuperate".
The new Evil Geniuses CS:GO roster witnessed a complete whitewash from the recently concluded BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022.

It has been a crazy year-end for Jacky "Stewie2K" Yip as Team Liquid gave one hell of a performance before parting ways with its old CS:GO lineup. Starting the 2022 season as the new shot caller for Evil Geniuses (EG), the North American (NA) rifler is ready for what lies ahead, taking on the role of an IGL (In-Game Leader) while also joining hands with his former Cloud9 teammates.

Stewie2K is very clear about the goals he wants to achieve with this new roster in 2022, while also pointing out the one thing he absolutely hates about the game at the moment and hopes for Valve to change it.

The new EG CS:GO roster seems promising with a combination of the former Cloud9 trio and two retained players from its previous lineup, looking like a terrific unit on paper. In a recent interview with Dexerto, Stewie2K explained that he is just looking for a fresh start along with EG and trying to recuperate.

As the interview had taken place before the BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022, Stewie2K was still optimistic for a good start to the 2022 season.

I feel like the next season starts very soon, like it's just literally right around the corner. So I can have some time for myself and get prepared for the next season, to start fresh.

However, the way this tournament went for EG, it is safe to say that they definitely did not enjoy their first outing together. They achieved a disappointing 10th-12th finish, sharing space with the other North American CS:GO teams competing in the tournament - Team Liquid and Complexity Gaming.

Stewie2K also stated that he wants to remove Ancient (the latest addition to the Active Duty Map Pool) from the game. The 24-year-old did not even wait for a fraction of a second before naming Ancient as the one thing about CS:GO that he would absolutely like to be changed, simply because he believes it to be a "very bad map". He further goes on to state that,

I think it's not ready to be competitive yet and they (Valve) more so use us (players) to kind of test the map a little bit. I feel like Ancient is not fully developed yet.

Fans will be looking forward to see Stewie2K and EG compete in the Ancient map. It will be interesting to see how the team performs in the new map.
