Jacky "Stewie2K" Yip surprised the CS:GO community by announcing that he was moving from North America to Europe.
He had parted ways with Team Liquid in December last year and had been on a break since then. He announced his return to CS:GO upon reaching Europe.
Stewie2K said that he would be streaming more frequently, while also putting in a lot more hours into CS:GO.

The last few months of 2021 were a wild ride for both Team Liquid and their former member Jacky "Stewie2K" Yip, who parted ways with the North American esports organization in late December.

Having kept a low profile since then, Stewie2K with the arrival of 2022 has decided to shift from North America to Europe from where he will continue to grind CS:GO. He made the surprise announcement earlier today on 11th January, following reports that he might be in talks with Evil Geniuses to join their lineup for the upcoming competitive season.

This move to Europe has certainly come as a surprise and could mean an array of things for Stewie2K's future, maybe he has received a new offer or he could simply be thinking about competing from Europe.

Stewie2K shifts from North America to Europe for CS:GO

Talented North American player Stewie2K has already played for multiple top international teams like Cloud9, SK Gaming, MIBR, Team Liquid, and is now heading to Europe, from California, where he plans to end his break and return to Counter-Strike again.

He plans on streaming a lot more from Europe while also committing to put in a lot more hours into CS:GO. This could mean that the speculations about him moving to Valorant and retiring from the Valve shooter might not be true after all.

On the other hand, there could be a chance that he might no longer be a part of the potential Evil Geniuses' roster where he was reportedly about to join hands with former Cloud9 teammate Timothy "autimatic" Ta, who recently confirmed his departure from T1's Valorant lineup.

Stewie2K made the following statement in his recent Twitch stream,

Those who don't know, I will be travelling to Europe soon. So I will be trying to stream more. Yes guys, I am starting a new life, I am going to be moving to Europe. [I am going to] try to put in a good amount of hours in CS, I will (also) try to make my stream a little better cause I have not streamed in a while and not cared about it. So I will improve my stream to try and take it to the next level, a little bit.

His Instagram story showed him taking off in a flight from California and leaving for Europe. Stewie2K has not mentioned where in Europe he is travelling to or his plans upon arrival to the new region.

It remains to be seen if Stewie2K is already committed to a CS:GO team in Europe or whether he shall be focusing on streaming and content creations for the time being.
