Shroud talks about what makes Valorant an easier and simpler game than CS:GO.
This opinion comes just a few days after Shroud had claimed that both games are "equal in their own ways".
Shroud also explains what it takes to be an effective player in CS:GO when compared to Valorant.

One of the most popular streamers in the world and former professional CS:GO player Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek has once again put forward his opinion comparing Valorant and CS:GO. The 27-year-old who used to say that Valorant does not have the potential to be as big as CS:GO during the game's initial stage, has slowly changed his outlook towards the game.

Ever since Shroud started playing and co-streaming Valorant tournaments his point of view transformed as he had nothing but praise for the title. However, his recent comments seem to reflect something completely different as he outright said that Valorant is simpler and easier than CS:GO.

Shroud thinks Valorant is simple and easier than CS:GO

Last week Shroud was co-streaming the grand finals of VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin, during a viewer asked his opinion on whether Valorant is harder than CS:GO, to which he had responded by saying that,

I would say they are both equal in their own way. They are both challenging games, it is hard to say one is better than the other. CS on a tactical level is pretty nuts, this game (Valorant) on a tactical level is also pretty nuts but in a different way. They are both hard in their own way.

Just a few days later, while streaming Valorant along with his friends, Shroud after discussing their strategy and roles for the game went on to speak a bit about how Valorant compares to CS:GO. This time however his opinions had changed from what he had preached earlier.

God, I love how easy this is. Like, in CS, you’ve got to learn every single flash, smoke, nade, and molly lineup to be an effective player. In this game, you are relying on your team to be the effective players in those roles, and you are focused more on your role, and I love that. I love that. It’s so simple. It’s literally so simple yet so elegant.

This statement goes against what Shroud stated earlier about both the games being equal in their own ways. But, he did give a solid explanation as to why he thinks Valorant is easier than CS:GO, and how a player needs to learn a lot of game related things to be an effective player for the Valve title.
